Their modern, sleek styling enables you to have the look of a board mounted valance without the difficulties associated with ordering, shipping and installing board mounted valances. These valances are custom designed and constructed by me in my workroom and can be sized to fit any window.

Shipping
It is easier and less expensive to ship a Hidden Rod Pocket® valance than it is to ship a pre-mounted board valance. Upon completion, valances are carefully folded and packaged in the box to be shipped. When the valances arrive they are ready to hang, with minimal ironing needed if any at all.
Installation
The valances are custom sized to fit your window widths and this helps to make installation a breeze! If there is no existing continental rod (flat rod) already installed at the windows, a Quick Installation Template/Instructions will be included with the order to make placing the brackets correctly, quick and easy. If you have existing rods and you don’t want to change to the continental rod style, the Hidden Rod Pocket® system can often be adapted to fit, so just ask!

The same level of workmanship and attention to detail goes into every valance/product that I make. I consider each valance to be one-of-a-kind pieces of art that will hopefully get to hang in your homes for years to come. When doing multiple windows in the same room I always match the patterns on all the valances so that, to the eye, they function as a unit instead of individual valances.

I had 5 valences made and they are absolutely beautiful! The sewing is done perfectly, and the attention to detail in the design and execution is amazing. Three of my windows were technically the same, but due to the building of my home, varied by 1/2 – 3/4 inch — Doshie made each valence to the exact measurement of the individual window so they would be perfect, rather than making them the same. She also placed the pattern just so, so that it looks great and coordinates across all of the windows. Based on measurements and pictures I sent, she planned the lengths of the valences to be the correct proportion for their window sizes. She also sent me hand-made templates for mounting the valence rods, so that it could be done easily without tedious measuring. I highly recommend her — I would give more stars if possible!
This picture does no justice to the product. Beautiful precise workmanship. Zoom in and look at how symmetrical each panel is in regard to the pattern. Doshie did a lot of pre work with me via email to help with choosing the right pattern, fabric, and really kept in mind my budget. I can not begin to express the quality and craftsmanship of the valance that was done. Doshie completely exceeded my expectations and I will absolutely recommend her to everyone! My hubby tells me all the time, when you find something you really like, buy multiples of it. This is my 4th order since February….I’ve learn that lesson well. Outstanding workman ship on this project as well as all my previous orders. This valance was made for my home office which is located in a room off my front doors. When entering now your sight is just drawn straight to the windows in my office and what a sight to behold! A couple other big pluses about Black Belt is……love, love, love the fact that you supply your own fabric. No more brick and mortar stores for me when it come to this type of purchase. Can I tell you how nice it is to go from package to hanging up with no ironing needed? Seriously, never a wrinkle or fold mark to be found.
