This custom BOX PLEATED valance is a Black Belt Home Décor original that was designed and constructed by me. This contemporary looking valance, features my new innovative Hidden Rod Pocket® styling which gives you the appearance of a board mounted valance but with the ease of a rod installation.

This custom valance features boxed sections with inverted pleats in between and inverted half pleats at each corner of the valance. (No pleats on returns.) This valance is available with plain lower edges (as shown on the sample In the photo) or with corded lower edges, just let me know your preference.

The sample shown here has been made to fit a 39″ Continental Rod with 3.5″ returns and has a 16″ finished length but lengths can be customized as needed. By increasing the number of boxes or by adjusting their widths it can be created to fit even the widest of windows as the pattern for this valance is my own design. When doing multiple windows in the same room I match the patterns on all of the valances and customize the scoop sizes to relate to each other in the room.

Interlining will be necessary if you are using a fabric that is thin or has no body to hang nicely. This valance looks best when made from a medium weight home décor fabric. (No upholstery weight fabric)
