This custom BOX PLEATED valance is a Black Belt Home Décor original that was designed and constructed by me. This contemporary looking valance, features my new innovative Hidden Rod Pocket® styling which gives you the appearance of a board mounted valance but with the ease of a rod installation.

This custom valance features boxed sections with contrast banding at their lower edges and has contrast inverted pleats in between. (No pleats at the corners of the valance.) The sample shown here has been made to fit a 39″ Continental Rod, 3.5″ returns and has a 16” finished length. I can custom make this valance style to fit any window that is at least 30” wide, and by increasing the number of boxes or by adjusting their widths it can be made wider as the pattern for this valance is my own design. When doing multiple windows in the same room I match the patterns on all the valances and customize the scoop sizes to relate to each other in the room.

Interlining will be necessary (additional charge) if you are using a fabric that is thin or has no body to hang nicely. This valance looks best when made from a medium weight home décor fabric. (No upholstery weight fabric)
