This custom CHARLEE valance is a Black Belt Home Decor original that was designed and constructed by me. This contemporary looking valance, features my new innovative Hidden Rod Pocket® styling which gives you the appearance of a board mounted valance but with the ease of a rod installation.

Think of this valance as a box pleated valance but with open inverted pleats instead of the usual closed box pleats.The basic design is the same as the EMMA valance but I have straightened out the lower edges.This custom valance features center box sections with contrast, open inverted pleat sections, top banding and micro-cording to finish off the lower edge.The sample shown here has been made to fit a 39″ Continental Rod with 3.5″ returns. It has a 16” length, but can also be made longer if requested.

I can custom make this valance style to fit any window that is at least 30” wide, and wider by increasing the number of boxes or by slightly adjusting their widths as the pattern for this valance is my own design.  When doing multiple windows in the same room I match the patterns on all the valances and customize the scoop sizes to relate to each other in the room.

Interlining will be necessary (additional charge) if you are using a fabric that is thin or has no body to hang nicely. This valance looks best when made from a medium weight home decor fabric. (No upholstery weight fabric)
