This custom EMILEE valance is a Black Belt Home Décor original that was designed and constructed by me. This contemporary looking valance, features my new innovative Hidden Rod Pocket® styling which gives the appearance of a board mounted valance but with the ease of a rod installation.

This custom valance features a center scallop section with contrast, open inverted pleat sections, top banding and micro-cording to finish off the lower edge. The sample shown here has been made to fit a 39″ Continental Rod with 3.5″ returns, has a 15″ center length and 17″ side length, but it can also be made to hang longer if requested.

This valance style can be made to fit any window that is at least 30” wide, and by increasing the number of scallops or by adjusting their widths it can be made any width as the pattern for this valance is my own design. When doing multiple windows in the same room I always match the patterns on all the valances and I customize the scoop sizes to relate to each other in the room.

Interlining will be necessary (additional charge) if you are using a fabric that is thin or has no body to hang nicely. This valance looks best when made from a medium weight home décor fabric. (No upholstery weight fabric)
