This custom JACKIE valance is a Black Belt Home Decor original that was designed and constructed by me. It features my new innovative Hidden Rod Pocket styling which gives you the appearance of a board mounted valance but with the ease of a rod installation.

The one pleat styling of the JACKIE Hidden Rod Pocket valance makes it an economical way to stylishly decorate if you have multiple windows or you want to decorate a child’s room. This custom valance can be sized to fit a 24″- 58″ window or door and it features 1 contrast open center pleat, 2 contrast covered buttons and 2 side sections with angled lower edges. This valance still features the same contrast top banding and micro-cording that are the hallmarks of almost all of my Hidden Rod Pocket valances. The sample shown here has been made to fit a 39″ Continental Rod and has 3.5″ returns, a 14″ center length and 17″ side length.

This valance is specifically designed to work with smaller window widths. If your window width is too wide for this style I would suggest the EMMA valance style instead as additional sections can be added to it to achieve a wider finished valance width. When doing multiple windows in the same room I match the patterns on all the valances and customize the scoop sizes to relate to each other in the room.

Interlining will be necessary (additional charge) if you are using a fabric that is thin or has no body to hang nicely. This valance looks best when made from a medium weight home decor fabric. (No upholstery weight fabric)
