The new innovative Hidden Rod Pocket styling of the MAISON valance gives the appearance of a board mounted valance but with the ease of a rod installation. This Black Belt Home Décor original was designed and constructed by me.

I can custom make this MAISON valance style to fit any window that is at least 28″ wide. The valance features a contrast inverted pleat section in the center of each scallop and it has contrast lined pleated tails to add detail to its corners and between scallops when constructed for wider windows. Contrast bias cut top banding and micro-cording finish off the lower edge.

The sample shown here has been made to fit a 39″ Continental Rod with 3.5″ returns and has a 17″ center length with  tails that hang 18″ at their long point. This valance design works especially well when it is specifically tailored to use for single, double and triple window widths. When doing multiple windows in the same room I match the patterns on all the valances and customize the scoop sizes to relate to each other in the room.

Interlining will be necessary (additional charge) if you are using a fabric that is thin or has no body to hang nicely. This valance looks best when made from a medium weight home décor fabric. (No upholstery weight fabric)
