This custom MOCK ROMAN Shade valance is a Black Belt Home Décor original that was designed and constructed by me. This contemporary looking valance, features my new innovative Hidden Rod Pocket styling which gives you the appearance of a board mounted valance but with the ease of a rod installation.

This custom valance is sized to fit windows from 24” – 60”+ wide and features 4 folds(1 contrast /3 print folds), 2 contrast ties and contrast banding at the top edge. The length of the valance is 16″ not including the length of the ties. The red solid/floral sample shown here was made to fit a 39″ Continental Rod with the standard 3 1/2″ returns.

The black/gold print valance with solid black contrast sample shown has 3 /4” returns so the valance lays almost flat against your window when outside mounted. To outside mount you will need to purchase 3/4″ continental end brackets to make the valance sit flush to the window, but there’s also an option of no returns for inside mounting using a spring tension rod.(Spring tension continental rods fit inside window width sizes of 18” – 65”)

*When doing multiple windows in the same room I always match the patterns on all the valances and I customize the scoop sizes to relate to each other in the room.

Interlining will be necessary (additional charge) if you are using a fabric that is thin or has no body to hang nicely. This valance looks best when made from a medium weight home décor fabric. (No upholstery weight fabric)
