This custom SHEILA BOX PLEATED valance is a Black Belt Home Decor original that was designed and constructed by me. This contemporary looking valance, features my new innovative Hidden Rod Pocket® styling which gives you the appearance of a board mounted valance but with the ease of a rod installation.

This valance is similar to the SHAPED BOX PLEATED Hidden Rod Pocket valance style, but has wider sections, so it’s an excellent valance style for fabrics with large horizontal repeats since the fabric print can be showcased better in the wider scalloped sections. There are inverted pleats in between each section and inverted half pleats at each corner of the valance. (No pleats on returns.) It has contrast corded lower edges and narrow contrast banding to finish off the top edge of the valance.

The sample shown here was made to fit a 39″ Continental Rod, 3.5″ returns and has a 16″ finished length. I custom make this valance to fit any size window by increasing the number of boxes or by slightly adjusting their widths as the pattern for this valance is totally my own design. For multiple windows in the same room I match the patterns on all the valances and I customize the scoop sizes to relate to each other in the room.

Interlining will be necessary (additional charge) if you are using a fabric that is thin or has no body to hang nicely. This valance looks best when made from a medium weight home décor fabric. (No upholstery weight fabric)
